Dawn...

Its a beautiful Sunday morning and I started my day as I have been starting my days for about a month now...give Sam his breakfast, walk him out, and spend a little time with him.

Today is just not a brand new week for me but also a brand new chapter! Fresh from a week-long off from work, I am to start my new professional life Monday with AmSurg. I am excited, raring to go, and at the same time...nervous! Nervous in a sense of what lies ahead...what the future will be like...and so on and so forth. This will be the third company I am going to work for since moving here in the U.S. in 1996. The last two were very rewarding, experience-wise and hope this one will be too if not surpass the others.

It will be a longer drive compared from the previous two so I have to really keep time in check each morning on tasks that include; Sam's morning walk, get kids ready for school, get ready for work, drop kids at school, and make that drive. Hey, no complaints here...just sharing with you one of my Sunday mornings as I trek along...

Professional Path...

I am on my last week with my current employer as Payroll Manager for the past 2 and half years. I am winding down on this leg in my professional path and coming onto a new trail. This new trail comes with a responsibility as a Director in a healthcare company's financial services department. This change is brought about by an opportunity that I felt I need to take on looking towards the future. I am excited about this change and at the same time thankful to my current employer (employer as of this writing) for the opportunities...the experience I had, the growth both professional and personal...these and more, will truly be treasured!

Our new family member...

Andrea, my eldest daughter has been asking me and Arlene for a dog for about a year. Well, on September 10, 2007, we granted her wish and got Sam. Sam is a pure bred Golden Retriever. Sam was born July 27, 2007 and has 5 brothers and 4 sisters. We have had Sam since September 10, 2007 and so far so good!

My first post...

This is my first post and still can't make up my mind to what theme I should adopt as reason for creating this site. Anyways, I'll try my best to share what's going on with me and my family; Arlene my lovely wife, Andrea my talented and beautiful daughter, and Angela my youngest angel-like daughter. Hoping that you check on me once in a while through this site and join me on my trek...a trek to life!
